Perspective, a reflection!

Happy Endings

Individualism! The set of parameters that make you different from others. The set of factors that make you who you are. What are these parameters? For that matter, can people be generalised and put into categories? Can two people of different upbringing be the same? Can two different people ever have similar reactions to situations? These were some of the things that I was wondering about! So, well, I decided to make a list of factors that determine, and decide on how different people react.
  • Upbringing
  • Beliefs
  • Faith
  • Religion
  • Moral values
  • Ethics
  • Etiquettes
  • Neighborhood
    • Place of residence/work/other [where you tend to spend most of your time
    • Friends/people who you generally spend a lot of time
  • Experience
  • So, if so many factors are present, how in the world can they be factored so that you can have people of the same "type"? The word "type" will be highly subjective then. That's when the word entered in my brain - perspective!

Perspective! It's all about perspective! Of all the things in the world, this is the single thing that makes a human different from the rest of his/her gang/surrounding ;-)! It's a conglomeration of a all the individual factors that make a human and is hence the single deciding parameter in what makes you, well you! It defines the way you react to different situations, and conditions!

To choose a perspective is to choose a value system and, unavoidably, an associated belief system. When we look at a business perspective, we are looking at a monetary base values system and beliefs. When we look at a human perspective, it is a more social value system and its associated beliefs.

So, obviously, with perspective, being a weighted proportion of all the individual parameters [which would be a lot more granularised than the above list], can 2 people ever be the same? Anyone taking me up on this....
