It's Miami GP weekend with some special liveries...

Special liveries for Miami was always a thing. However, this year we have some extremes. There is a disastrous one 🤡, a beautiful one, an-in-theme one and my favorite of the lot which isn't even part of the main race. Let's look at them, starting with

Ferrari

Are they really not paying attention to the 🤡 meme? Ferrari has literally adopted the livery that defines how a team with tremendous potential often clowns their way into a defeat. I will go on record to say that this is one of the worst liveries ever by Ferrari. Just. So. Ugly.

VCaRB

As much as this might cause some confusion with Alpine, this is a good looking one. There's thought put into the cohesion of this and the special touch is the wheel covers. Great job, VCaRB. I will also go on record to say that Hadjar continues to be the exciting rookie this season who's maximizing his fluke addition to the grid. Great job!!

Sauber

Sauber seems to have leaned into the Florida and Gator theme a little hard. Given it was their color, this isn't unexpected. However, there's still something unpleasant about the whole look. I realize that's a highly subjective take.

Finally, the real MVP of the best themed livery

That's the F1 academy Mercedes Miami livery. Look at the restraint, look at the theming, look at how gorgeous it looks. Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all, but this beholder is absolutely in love with this theme. I wish Mercedes will take notice and consider taking elements from this for the next Miami F1 main car livery.
