⌘ + ⇧ + C - Command + Shift + C - An Alfred Workflow that made me stop missing Arc
If there is one thing that I miss from Arc, it's ⌘ + ⇧ + C
.
⌘ + ⇧ + C
copies the URL from the current tab into the clipboard. When I shifted back to Alfred, I realized that I can create a global hotkey to achieve the same goal independent of the browser. I use Safari and Chrome every day now and this works across both of them.
Here's what you do:

- Create a new workflow
- Add a hotkey companion (and set it to
⌘ + ⇧ + C
) - Choose an automation task
- Set that as the "current front browser tab" and set the output as the URL
- Add a copy to clipboard node
- [Optional] Provide a confirmation (I chose a mac notification)
Test and voila.
To be clear, Arc is more than just ⌘ + ⇧ + C
. However, this is the behavior I most missed from Arc and now I've created it for "any" browser on my Mac.
It's not just me who seems to be missing Arc. The sad part is that all of us really enjoyed Arc and are almost disappointed that we have to shift back to one of the other browsers:

Aside: I am just flabbergasted that Josh referred a couple times to say that he's not prepared for "external marketing" to discuss about why Dia is a better browser for everybody. Both the mention of this conversation as "external marketing" and the fact that he didn't have a cogent, cohesive answer are not great signals.
